100% Gaglioppo

The still small DOC of Cirò from the most central and eastern section of Calabria was established in 1969 and rosso is predicated on the local gaglioppo, (minimum 80 per cent) with a maximum 20 per cent other grapes, including an allowable (10) of barbera, cabernet franc, cabernet sauvignon, merlot, and/or sangiovese. Brigante’s is light and fresh, as ethereal as it gets for southern Italian reds

Ruby red in color with light orange reflexes. Notes of spices with scent of fruit like almond and plum. Palate with a perfect balance of the wine's acidity. Full-body wine, powerful, with a pleasantly long finish.
