Château Marsau lies in the Côtes de Francs, where Merlot planted on clay soils creates a wine reminiscent of top Pomerol. Under the stewardship of owner and winemaker Anne-Laurence Chadronnier, the quality and reputation of this impressive estate has rocketed. Most famously, it has been dubbed “the Pétrus of the Côtes de Francs” by Robert Parker. Situated at the highest point of a plateau on a patch of blue clay, it is no surprise that Marsau has attracted such attention. Anne-Laurence’s skillful winemaking, which draws out the estate’s innate elegance and precision, is matched by her vineyards’ fine terroir.

From the famed Chadronnier family of Dourthe, makers of our best-selling “Good Ordinary Claret”, comes this truly fantastic Côtes de Francs. Delicious, plummy, cassis fruit coats the palate. Medium-bodied, the tannins are ripe and yet have just the right amount of grip. The acidity is remarkably refreshing.
