1950 was the year in which the Merlot vineyard, used to produce this wine, was planted. The grape harvest is manual and it occurs by mid September. The grapes are brought to the winery using crates. The little grapes are put in specific tanks and the must ferments with the lees for 15 days. The pressing is soft, the wine matures in stainless steel tanks, with periodic battonage.
A bright ruby red, this 100% Merlot presents as both intense and delicate with hints of herb. With good structure and acidity, pleasing roundness and mineral quality, you’ll notice flavours of cranberry and raspberry.
