Owned by the Contini Bonacossi family, Capezzana presides in the Carmignano zone to the west of Florence, and every family member plays a specific role, from winemaker to marketing director. The 80-hectare plot has been used for grapes and olives since 805 A.D. and has always been farmed organically and responsibly. Embracing the estate's history, this wine is named after the "wall of Barco Reale," a boundary defining wall that stretched for 30 miles;

The Barco Reale is the youthful version of the Capezzana's flagship D.O.C.G. Though both made using Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon primarily; this wine has a simple elegance with notes of red fruits, red flowers, violets and wild herbs. It's smooth and hits with just the right amount of acidity to pair with a myriad of your favourite Italian flavours.

Get this wine if you need a wine to go with an authentic Italian feast. Nothing will go better with Nonna's classic Pasta and Meatballs. Do not skimp on the parmesan.
