August Kesseler Riesling Kabinett 2020
At 19 years old, August Kessler took over his parents' vineyard atop the prestigious hillsides of the Rheingau in Germany. Planted in 1720, this varietal has since become synonymous with the country's reputation in the wine world. While German wine categorization can be a tricky beast, fear not! Kabinett is the lightest style of Riesling that ranges from dry to off-dry and sits comfortably between both types.
A crushable weekday wine with the perfect balance of cool-climate aromatic peach and apple flavours and tropical pineapple and candied lemon. With a slightly savoury finish of salty seasoning, the wine is an all-around delicious example of German Riesling.
