What’s in a name? In the case of Verdicchio, the Italian word for green is Verde, as both the grape and the wine have a greenish hue. For over a century, the Tombolini family has been faithfully devoted to their home base of the Marche, Italy, seated on the calf of Italy’s boot. The Castelli di Jesi Verdicchio growing area is a large one, stretching from the Adriatic coast to the foothills of the central Apennine mountains. This area creates a mix of Mediterranean and continental climates with significant shifts between day and night temperatures.

With aromas of lime zest, kiwi, fresh grass, green papaya, and coriander, this wine offers some serious variety while balancing high acidity with crisp green apple and hints of fresh blossom.

Get this wine if you want a light thirst quencher to pair with some pesto pasta on the patio.
