The grapes for the 2019 Pinot Noir are from the estate vineyard (74%) and from one other nearby vineyard in the County (26%). The 2019 growing season was relatively cool, especially at harvest, giving a lighter bodied wine but with vivid fruit flavours. The wine was aged in French oak barrels for 10 months and malolactic fermentation (which imparts smoothness) was allowed to occur naturally during this period. The wine was then bottled without filtration so as not to lose any elements that could impart fruit complexity. The noninterventionist approach in the winery has resulted in an elegant finely detailed Pinot Noir that reflects the County terroir – cranberry and cherry flavours, good minerality, well balanced acidity, and soft tannins giving a long enjoyable finish.

Stanners Pinot Noir 2019 is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
