Belcolle Langhe Nebbiolo 2019
Founded in 1976, the Belcolle winery is based in Verduno, one of the villages in the Barolo region of Piedmont. Bel Colle means “beautiful hill,” and this particular one was once owned by the King of Piedmont. These days, the vineyards are farmed responsibly, and the wine is made using minimal intervention, arguably transporting the beauty through the wine.
Made using the classic Nebbiolo grape and having seen no oak, this fragrant and delicate medium-bodied wine is youthful and has gorgeous strawberry, raspberry and fresh fennel notes.
Get this wine if you need a quiet accompaniment with a crossword or 1000 piece puzzle. You probably won’t solve it any faster, but you will undoubtedly add to the overall enjoyment of challenging your brain. Try it with some Posta Negra, a Columbian braised beef dish, if you get hungry.
Belcolle Langhe Nebbiolo 2019 is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
