Adam Lowy is dedicated to making top-notch Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the Twenty Mile Bench in Niagara. That kind of attitude could perhaps be construed as putting “all of your eggs into one basket” or even “foolhardy.” However, this kind of focus to detail, especially when making minimal intervention wine, can yield some truly fabulous results.

Taking his first Chardonnay vintage as a testament to the hard work, it is not hard to see what the precision brings to the table. Aged in French oak, it’s a love note to Burgundy with notes of melted butter, apple fritter, and all with a wonderfully mineral finish.

Get this wine if you like just a kiss of oak in your glass-this is nothing like a California Chardonnay. While it’s got a full-body, it has a lot more fruity notes as well as some racy acidity, making it great with a pasta carbonara.
