The Ciderie Coat-Albret was created in Bédée, Brittany, France by Loïc Berthelot in 1983, at a time when issues such as alimentation quality, alimentary products origins and terroirs just began to be addressed. The creation of the ciderie was triggered by a will of self-sufficiency, the need to "live and work at home" and the wish to give back its prestige to Brittany's emblematic drink. Nowadays, six people work there and produce 350,000 bottles of cider per year.
