Domaine Baud Cremant du Jura Brut N/V
A wine made in the same style as Champagne, outside the region of Champagne, is called "Cremant." These wines sometimes don't carry the name, prestige and history that Champagne houses do, but do not confuse the quality of this 100% Chardonnay. It can play with some of the big houses any day. The Baud estate dates back to 1742, so the brother/sister duo that is Clementine and Bastien, is the 9th generation in their family to be making wine in Jura. Sandwiched between Burgundy and Switzerland, the area is known for producing wines with unique flavour profiles. In this case, you can dig into the pear, fresh fennel, ginger and toasted pecan notes while enjoying the rich, creamy mouthfeel we've come to love from French bubbles.
Get this wine if you love Champagne but don't necessarily have the budget to be popping bottles on the regular. Sit back and enjoy with oysters, ceviche or caviar, you baller.
Domaine Baud Cremant du Jura Brut N/V is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
