Luigi Baudana Dragon Bianco 2020
Out of context, the striking image of the dragon on the label might seem out of place; however, it’s apt if you consider that it is a symbol of strength and resilience. Luigi Baudana planted Chardonnay and a touch of Sauvignon Blanc in 1980, which is not an easy pair to grow in Barolo, an area known for its bold reds.
As a result, this is a unique blend of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, the native varietal Nascetta and a touch of Riesling, making for a highly aromatic wine with an intense bouquet of orchard peach, preserved lemon, elderflower and fresh-cut grass. There are flavours of kiwi, lime, and refreshing flinty minerality on the palate.
Get this wine if you need a little dose of harmony in your life and enjoy it with some Burmese Chicken or Tofu.
