Garage Wine Co was literally started in a garage in 2001, by Etobicoke expat Derek Mossman and his wife Pilar Miranda. Since then, the dynamic duo have chosen to revive old vineyards in marginalized Chilean communities. They work mostly in the regions of Maule and Itata where they make highly coveted wines.

The Truquilemu Vineyard is perhaps the freshest corner of The Maule secano where reds just manage to ripen. The nose is floral, elegant and subtle, a little closed at first, becoming deeper and more nuanced with time in the glass. The palate shows great freshness with a thread of fine acidity going through its backbone. It has character, with notes of earthiness and fresh violets, aromas that only the best Carignan can provide. Just great, with a long life ahead.
