Sure, you may think you know Nebbiolo, but unless you've tried this wine, you have no idea where it can take you. The Bricco Delle Viole winery has been in Barolo since the late 1800s, and Aldo Vajra has been looking to Piedmont's traditions and natural beauty since his adoption of the property in the 1960s. The Claré JC is a partial whole-cluster fermentation made in a similar style to that of Beaujolais and produced with grapes from the younger vines on the property,

Using a recipe found from a note found from 1606 and is a piece of near-forgotten history. This light and fresh wine has aromas of cherries, wild strawberries, pomegranate on the nose and a lingering finish of wild berries and purple flowers. The silky tannins and light body make this wine easy to drink, but its iconic feature is the kiss of effervescence on the tip of your tongue.

Get this wine if you want something approachable but different. Pairs superbly with an array of Charcuterie flavours especially parked waterside on a picnic blanket.
