Il Macchione was drawn to the lands of this farm by his love of true things, Mother Earth, wine, and Tuscany. They injected fresh life into the already rich history of Montepulciano's "Noble Wine" because they believed that it was necessary to reinforce the bond between man and the environment that supports him. They see themselves as nothing more than humble stewards of these magnificent locations as they combine the labours of this age-old vocation with the satisfaction of sharing pleasure and an emotional experience through their wines.

The fact that this wonderful wine is produced on their own Prugnolo Gentile vines from declassified Vino Nobile grapes is the key to appreciating its high quality. From two vineyards, both with an average age of 15 years old vines, one facing the paese (of Montepulciano) and the other overlooking the ospedale. The vineyard, like the rest of the property, does not use chemicals or herbicides, and vinification occurs spontaneously using a "pied de cuve" to start the wild fermentation, 15 to 20 days on the skins, and 10 months in French oak barrels.

Brilliant garnet-like crimson with ruby undertones. The nose offers a beautiful bouquet, consisting of hints of ripe cherry and morello cherry in alcohol.
