Luigi Maffini Kratos 2020
The site of Paestum is known for having some of the most well-preserved temple ruins from Ancient Greece. Sitting in Campania, Italy, just south of Naples, this entire area is surreal and surrounded by ethereal natural beauty. Contributing to this heavenly enclave, only a twenty-minute drive inland, sits the family vineyard of Luigi Maffini. Using the principles of organic viticulture while showcasing the charm of local varietals, the wines are an alluring expression of the area.
The Kratos is pretty but robust, comparable to a voluptuous marble statue. Made from the Fiano grape, it has floral aromas alongside flavours of kiwi, dried apricot, honey and mint with round textures and vibrant acidity.
Get this wine if you are a fan of the classics, like to drink pretty or want to live your best Jane Austin fantasy. Sip while sharing with some close friends and share with a fresh Caprese salad.
