Sorelle Bronca Brut Rose Prosecco NV
The Sorelle Branca winery was created in the mid-eighties by sisters Antonella and Ersiliana Bronca, who inherited 20 hectares of old vineyards from their father. Producing traditional local wines, the grapes are still grown in their family-owned vineyard just outside of Valdobbiadene. A big part of their platform and focus has been on the research and development of finding natural solutions; this resulted, for example, in ground-breaking experimentation with new, more natural vine-protection treatments as well as exploration into spontaneous fermentation in the vineyard. As a result, it is thanks to the Branca sisters that organic farming and modern winemaking techniques were introduced to the DOC area of San Pietro di Feletto.
From the careful vinification of grapes from the Glera vineyard vinified for 90% with a small addition of 10% Pinot Noir grapes. Harvest takes place by hand in wooden boxes. The vinification involves the sequential soft pressing of whole grapes and fermentation in steel. The second fermentation follows the traditional Martinotti method and rests on the lees for at least two months.
The fruity and floral aromas of rosewater, red currant and strawberry, develop into a soft yet driven palate with persistent bubbles
