13th Street Winery, having really only been established in 1998, still can go on record as one of the first wineries in Niagara to have released a traditional method sparkling wine back in 2012. This is a bold move that has ultimately paid off as they have set a Canadian standard on how wonderfully opulent a Niagara “champagne” can be.

Made from a Pinot Noir and Chardonnay blend and aged on lees for 48 months, the wine is rich, creamy with laser-focused bubbles. Sure it has all the flavours and aromas you’d come to expect like green apple, lemon and toasted brioche, but what will really get you is the strength of this wine. Its acidity really holds the wine together.

Get this if you feel bold and/or eat a briny oyster plate. Classic!
