Fielding Rock Pile Pinot Gris 2019

From 30-year-old Pinot Gris vines suspected of being the oldest in Niagara, these grapes were picked later than most in this corner of the world and were 100% barrel fermented. The wine sees just a touch of skin contact and rested on lees for five months to top it all off. Seems like a mouthful of information, doesn’t it? Don’t be intimidated, but instead, get excited for a lovely and complex example of Pinot Gris. While the experience of fresh pear, melon and honey is undoubtedly the first impression you will get, it’s followed up by lively acidity and crunchy minerality.

Get this wine if you like the classic nuances of Pinot Gris but also like to take your time to sit back and contemplate the mysteries of the universe. Feeling peckish? Goes great with goat cheese, honey and thyme.
