The grapes for this small batch wine come from a single vineyard in the south of Creek Shores VQA sub-appellation, where rich sedimentary soils bring great depth to the fruit.

The long growing season and extended hang-time of the 2019 vintage provided further complexity, and the result is a structured wine of nuance and balance. Wild fermented and aged in 25% new French oak barrels for 19 months.

A dominantly fruity nose of blueberry and cherry, toastiness, a bit of damp earth, and white pepper. The oak really shines on the palate giving a nice vanilla flavour alongside the fruit. Well rounded tannins and a smooth, lingering finish. Lovely demonstration of Niagara Cabernet Franc.
