The aromas on this wine are rich, ripe and extremely inviting. Flavours of currants, black cherry, subtle hints of coffee and chocolate are present with subtle earthy tones of cedar, leather and sweet hay. The colour is bold and intense and the body is medium to heavy, round, silky and finishes dry. The tannins provide a dry finish yet the wine carries the fruit up front and holds the controlled amount of acidity at the back creating a very well rounded wine.
