Andrea Kaiser has grown up in the world of wine. While her father was arguably one of the most influential winemakers in Niagara, it hasn’t taken away from her ability to be an independent success in her own right. Along with sitting on numerous local wine boards, he has also held the position as the marketing manager for Rief estates for over two decades and founded Drea’s Wine Company-a small-batch wine project in 2019. While the portfolio is small, it focuses on two grape varieties that were her father’s favourites: sauvignon blanc and dornfelder.

Dornfelder is a relatively unknown variety from Germany used primarily to bring colour to a blended wine; however it naturally has juicy blackberry, spicy cinnamon and fancy florals. Basically, all great aromas and flavours that you’d get from an oak-aged red but all the light body you could ask for from a pinot noir.
