Moraza Rose 2022
A joyfully upbeat tempranillo, made to express the authentic (as opposed to the internationally recognized) style of Rioja. Janire is a sixth generation winemaker at the Moraza family bodega, she cares deeply for her land and grapes and it is thanks to her that the vineyards are now certified organic. Their unique micro climate and calcareous clay soils are influenced by the Atlantic, Mediterranean and Cantabrian Seas with a direct translation seen in the salty, balanced and mineral driven flavours of their wines.
FUN FACT! They use only cement fermentation vessels for vinification and ageing (where the norm in Rioja is oak and more oak). Wicker basket of wild strawberries, raspberry cream, warm almond, green cherry & a field of tiny pink flowers like the Earth is blushing. Mineral, dry and juicy, this is a great mealtime rosé. Made and aged in concrete eggs, give this wine a craveable texture. Find notes of fresh red berries, tart cherry and wild herbs.
Enjoy with a light lunch, from mortadella sandos to veggies and hummus.
